The Aeroguidance Society is pleased to announce our participation in the AMA’s Intro-Pilot Program. This allows non-AMA and non-club members the ability to have introductory and training RC flights under the direct supervision of a club designated instructor. For 2007 the designated instructors are Terry Terrenoire (607) 748-8146, Frank Gioffredo (607) 748-9858 and Scott Wallace (607) 206-0928.
Students and instructors are fully covered by the liability provisions of the AMA insurance policy for a period of 60 consecutive days. During this timeframe the students are ONLY permitted training flights on a buddy box under direct supervision of one of the previously mentioned designated instructors. The student may make these flights with either the club trainer or their own model. At the conclusion of the students 60 day introductory period they may either join the AMA and Aeroguidance Society and continue flying or opt out of flying with the Aeroguidance Society. There is no cost or obligation to the student during the 60-day introductory period.
This program does not change the traditional Aeroguidance Society Flight School for club members. The Intro-Pilot Program is a “one time” only program designed to give prospective club members a taste of RC flying before making an investment in the hobby.
